Barbara Beaton is a highly experienced and intelligent therapist with over fifteen years of professional expertise. She has extensive knowledge about the human body and its functioning, and brings an especially rich depth of understanding to her practice of massage therapy. Barbara employs her mastery of several specialized techniques to treat her clients effectively, including but not limited tomyofascial release, deep tissue, Swedish, as well as sports and orthopedic techniques. Barbara received her massage therapy training at the reputable Heartwood Institute in Northern California, and at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, in Tempe, Arizona. In addition–driven by her desire to expand her knowledge and healing abilities–Barbara has completed several advanced programs of continuing education, ranging from a hands-on human dissection intensive, to treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, postural analysis, as well as work in visceral manipulation. Her extensive studies give her an unconventionally knowledgeable reach in her massage therapy practice, a breadth of experience that allows her to treat her clients with unusual skill and compassion, with real results. Currently Barbara is a therapist at Profile Massage, in Jackson, Wyoming. She also sees clients as a professional colon hydrotherapist at her private practice, Optimal Health, also located in Jackson. Barbara received her training in colon hydrotherapy at the American Institute of Natural Health in Phoenix, Arizona, and attained certification in 2003.
